Soft Skills for Conservation Careers
Workshop Hosted by the Greti U. Croft Center for Undergraduate Environmental Leadership (CUEL)

Will Shafroth, CEO of the National Parks Foundation, will facilitate a workshop for students to learn “soft skills” needed to effectively engage in public processes to conserve public lands.  Students will explore a real-life conservation challenge and practice developing skills related to differing stakeholder perspectives, conflict resolution and negotiations, and communications.  Light snacks will be provided.  Will Shafroth is a conservationist and outdoor recreation enthusiast whose professional career has been in preservation and protection of public lands.

Students also have the opportunity to have lunch with Will to learn about his career in preservation and protection of public lands from 12 - 1 pm.  A lunch will be provided for those who attend.  To attend the lunch, please apply on the RSVP form if you can commit to attending the event.  If selected, you will receive a confirmation email.
