Croft Center for Undergraduate Environmental Leadership (CUEL) empowers UC Santa Barbara undergraduates to become tomorrow’s environmental leaders and change-makers.  Supporting the transition from classroom to career, CUEL connects students to training, resources, and relationships to unlock future possibilities.

The Environmental Leadership Incubator (ELI) is a nine-month program that trains undergraduate students to become environmental leaders. ELI is organized around student-initiated projects that seek to implement positive environmental change.

CUEL provides a searchable database, EcoGauchos, of existing environmental job and internship opportunities for environmentally-oriented UCSB undergraduates. Using this database, anyone in the UCSB environmental community can post and search for jobs and internships.

Workshop: Soft Skills for Conservation Careers

Join Will Shafroth, CEO of the National Parks Foundation, to learn soft skills for effectively addressing conservation challenges, including considering various stakeholder perspectives, negotiating and resolving conflicts, employing successful communication strategies and more!  Open to all undergraduate students. Students also have the opportunity to join Will for lunch and to learn about his career.
