The Croft Center for Undergraduate Environmental Leadership (CCUEL) is pleased to invite you to a careers panel on Corporate Sustainability Officer Careers on Tuesday, April 23rd from 12-1 pm in Bren 4016.  This panel will highlight guest speakers from The Coca-Cola Company; Sonos, an audio-technology company; and Blue Biome Advising, a seafood consulting business. Genevieve Taft-Vazquez
The Coca-Cola Company
Sr. Director, Sustainable Sourcing and Human Rights

 
Genevieve Taft-Vazquez is Senior Director for Sustainable Sourcing and Human Rights at The Coca-Cola Company.  Genevieve has been with Coca-Cola for over a decade and in her role, she provides governance, strategy and policy oversight for sustainable sourcing due diligence in the supply chain.  She works with peer companies to develop collaborative approaches to systemic challenges related to sustainability and responsible sourcing and works closely with external stakeholders to identify partnership opportunities.
 
Prior to joining Coca-Cola, Genevieve worked primarily in the apparel industry. She worked at Gap Inc and subsequently spent time in Bolivia with a fair-trade artisan organization to improve operational capacity and to develop market opportunities abroad. After that she joined the Fair Labor Association, a nonprofit that works with multinational apparel brands to improve social and environmental performance in supply chains. 
 
She completed a dual degree at Wharton and Johns Hopkins SAIS and undergraduate at Yale University.

Deji Olukotun
Sonos
Director, Sustainability & Impact

 
Deji Bryce Olukotun is the Director of Global Affairs & Impact at Sonos, responsible for overseeing sustainability, the Sonos Foundation, and corporate policy. Prior to Sonos, Deji worked at the digital rights organization Access Now, where he drove campaigns on fighting internet shutdowns, cybersecurity, and online censorship. Before that, he fought for free expression and the defense of writers around the world at PEN American Center with support from the Ford Foundation. 
 
Deji is a Future Tense Fellow at the New America Foundation where he explores the intersection of science, fiction, and policy. He holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School, a BA from Yale University, and dual Masters degrees in Creative Writing and Justice & Transformation from the University of Cape Town, where he was a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar. 
 
He is the author of two novels and his fiction has appeared in many different book collections. His science fiction appeared in 2020’s Best Science Fiction & Fantasy, edited by Outlander creator Diana Galbadon. 

Roxanne Nanninga
Blue Biome Advising
Founder & Principal

 
Roxanne Nanninga is the Founder and Principal at Blue Biome Advising. She has dedicated her career to building programs and strategy that address the challenges facing our oceans and global food systems. She has led wide-reaching initiatives to tackle climate change, better fishing and farming practices, traceability, and human rights in multiple sectors, including seafood corporations, technology startups, and environmental non-profits. She seeks solutions that benefit both people and the planet while cultivating organizations that can succeed in a rapidly changing world. 
 
As founder of Blue Biome Advising, she supports clients in the areas of corporate ESG strategy, finance, program management, and more. Roxanne holds a Master degree from Duke University in Environmental Management and International Development.
