Biography

 

Lily Poehler is the Environmental Programs Associate for the Greti U. Croft Center for Undergraduate Environmental Leadership (CUEL), where she supports the operations of the program under the supervision of the Executive Director. She also provides support for the Yardi Scholars for Environmental Justice at UCSB.

She holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara with a concentration in Political Science. Lily was the recipient of the Marc McGinnes Law and Advocacy Award and the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award from the UCSB Environmental Studies Program in 2025. 

Prior to joining the CUEL team, Lily interned at Santa Barbara Channelkeeper, where she organized trash cleanups, developed social media content, and engaged in community outreach. She also interned with Santa Barbara County’s Sustainability Division, contributing to the development of a five-year progress report on the county’s Climate Action Plan.  

While at UC Santa Barbara, Lily was an active staff member of Excursion Club, and she completed the Environmental Leadership Incubator (ELI) program in 2024.
