Volunteer

CUEL helps connect students with alumni and environmental professionals to learn about  various career pathways, educational opportunities, and jobs and internships. Support can come in various forms and may include meeting with a student and sharing career advice, participating in a career panel, facilitating a workshop on an environmental skill, sharing job seeking advice, or more.  Professionals can also mentor an ELI student on their environmental leadership project. To share expertise with students through CUEL, share your information, interests, and experience.

CUEL programming is made possible by generous financial contributions of donors; time, energy, and advising of our alumni, local professionals, and mentors; and open and eager environmentally-minded UCSB undergraduates. While leadership programs abound at the Masters and Ph.D. levels, opportunities for training and self-directed leadership experiences at the undergraduate level are rare. CUEL fills this gap and provides a unique opportunity for undergraduate students at UCSB to gain essential leadership skills while engaging in projects that further environmental causes.  Gifts to CUEL support opportunities in environmental leadership education, career readiness trainings, 1:1 coaching, and more.
